WEEKLY MEDITATION 2 -8 MAY 2016

As you begin this week we ask that you meditate on the following scriptures and how they apply to your life and your growing relationship with the Lord.

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your guidance and will into our lives for your glory.

Worship is the “thank you” that refuses to be silenced…..

“The Lord Say, “My thoughts are not like your thoughts. Your ways are not like my ways. Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8-9)

“Don’t worry and say “What shall we eat?” or “What will we drink?” or “What shall we wear?” The people who don’t know God keep trying to get these things, and your Father in heaven knows you need them. Seek first God’s kingdom and what God wants. Then all your other needs will be met as well” (Matthew 6:31-33)

“If we are not faithful, he will still be faithful, because he must be true to who he is…God’s strong foundation continues to stand. These words are written on the seal: “The Lord knows those who belong to him” and “Everyone who wants to belong to the Lord must stop doing wrong” (2 Timothy 2:13, 19)

Worship is the “thank you” that refuses to be silenced…..

“You made my whole being; you formed me in my mothers body. I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way. What you have done is wonderful. I know this very well” (Psalm 129:13-14)

“Two sparrows cost on a penny, but not even on of them can die without your Father’s knowing it. God even knows how many hairs are on your head. So don’t be afraid. You are worth much more than many sparrows” (Matthew 10:29-31)

“You are God’s children who he loves, so try to be like him. Live a life of love just as Christ loved us and gave himself for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God” (Ephesians 5:1-2)

“Come to me, all of you who are tired and have heavy loads, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28)

“Come, let us talk about these things. Though your sins are like scarlet, They can be as white as snow. Though your sins are deep red, They can be white like wool” (Isaiah 1:18)

“Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. If anyone believes in me, rivers of living water will flow out from that person’s heart” (John 7:37-38)

“He gives strength to those who are tired and more power to those who are weak. The people who trust the Lord will become strong again. They will rise up as an eagle in the sky, they will run and not need rest, they will walk and not become tired” (Isaiah 40:29-31)

“Come to me, all of you who are tired and have heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Accept my teachings and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit, and you will find rest for your lives. The teaching that I ask you to accept is easy; the load I give you to carry is light” (Matthew 11:28-30)

“God is our protection and our strength. He always helps in times of trouble. The Lord All-Powerful is with us; the God of Jacob is our defender” (Psalm 46:1-11)

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32)

“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for his sums up the Law and the Prophets” (Matthew 7:12)

“Love is patient, love is Kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud” (1 Corinthians 13:4)

“As God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience” (Colossians 3:12)

“I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about something and pray for it, it will be done for you by me Father, in heaven. This is true because if two or three people come together in my name, I am there with them” (Matthew 18:19-20)

“Do good to those who hate you, bless those who cures you, pray for those who are cruel to you” (Luke 6:27-28)

“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so God can heal you. When a believing person prays, great things happen” (James 5:16)

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30)

“When you are praying, if you are angry with someone, forgive him so that your Father in heaven ill also forgive your sins” (Mark 11:25)

“God has chosen you and made you his holy people. He love you. So always do these things: Show mercy to others, be kind, be humble, be gentle, and patient. Get along with each other, and forgive each other. If someone does wrong to you, forgive that person because the Lord forgave you” (Colossians 3:12-13)

“Be kind and loving to each other, and forgive each other just as God forgave you in Chris” (Ephesians 4:32)
