WEEKLY MEDITATION 16 – 22 JUNE 2014

As you begin this week, we ask that you meditate on the following scriptures and how they apply to your life and your growing relationship with the Lord.

“Our high priest is able to understand our weaknesses. When he lived on earth, he was tempted in every way that we are, but he did not sin. Let us, then, feel very sure that we can come before God’s throne where there is grace. There we can receive mercy and grace to help us when we need it” (Hebrews 4:15-16)

“You have been saved by grace through believing. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God. It was not the result of your own efforts, so you cannot brag about it” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

“After you suffer or a short time, God who gives all grace, will make everything right. He will make you strong and support you and keep you from falling. He called you to share in his glory in Chris, a glory that will continue forever” (1 Peter 5:10)

WEEKLY MEDITATION 9-15 JUNE 2014

As you begin this week, we ask that you think about the following scriptures and how they apply to your life and your growing relationship with the Lord.

“Think only about the things in heaven, not the things on earth. Your old sinful self has died and your new life is kept with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:2-3)

“You should know that loving the world is the same as hating God. Anyone who wants to be a friend of the world becomes God’s enemy” (James 4:4)

“Do not love the world or the things in the wold. If you love the world, the love of the Father is not in you. These are the ways of the world: wanting to please our sinful selves, wanting the sinful things we see, and being too proud of what we have. None of these come from the Father, but all of them come from the world. The world and everything that people want in it are passing away, but the person who does what God wants lives forever” (1 John 2:15-17)

WEEKLY MEDITATION 2-8 JUNE 2014

As you begin this week, we ask that you think about the following scriptures and how they apply to your life and your growing relationship with the Lord.

“We are  completely victorious through God who showed his love for us. Yes, I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor ruling spirits, nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us, nothing below us, nor anything else in the whole world will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:37-39)

“When we were unable to help ourselves, at the right time Christ died for us, although we were living against God…God shows his great love for us in this way: Christ died for us while we were still sinners” (Romans 5:6,8)

Lord God All-Powerful, who is like you? Lord, you are powerful and completely trustworthy….Your kingdom is built on what is right and fair. Love and Truth are in all you do” (Psalm 89:8,14)
