WEEKLY MEDITATION 30 SEPT – 6 OCTOBER 2019

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

“I tell you the truth, whoever hears what I say and believes in the One who sent me has eternal life. That person will not be judged guilty but has already left death and entered life” (John 5:24)

“I tell you the truth, whoever believes has eternal life” (John 6:47)

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never die, and no one can steal them out of my hand. My Father gave my sheep to me. He is greater than all, and no person can steal my sheep out of my Father’s hand” (John 27-29)

“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so God can heal you. When a believing person prays, great things happen” (James 5:16)

“Brothers and sisters, I beg you to help me in my work by praying to God for me. Do this because of your Lord Jesus and the love that the Holy Spirit gives us” (Romans 15:30)

“Respecting the Lord, and not being proud will bring you wealth, honor, and life” (Proverbs 22:4)

“In every way be an example of doing good deeds. When you teach, do it with honesty and seriousness. Speak the truth so that you cannot be criticized…Grace teaches us to live in the present age in a wise and right way and in a way that shows we serve God. We should live like that while we wait for our great hope and the coming of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:7-8, 12-13)

“God is fair; he will not forget the work you did and the love you showed him by helping his people. And he will remember that you are still helping them. We want each of you to go on with the hard work all your lives so you will surely get what you hope for” (Hebrews 6:10-11)
