WEEKLY MEDITATION 6-12 MAY 2019

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” (Luke 12:34)

“In him, the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him, you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit” (Ephesians 2:21-22)

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful, but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law, he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season” (Psalm 1:1-3)

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8)

“For the light in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man…So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him” (Matthew 24:38-39,44)

“He is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf” (Hebrews 7:25)

“Our fight is not against people on earth but against the rulers and authorities and the powers of this world’s darkness, against the spiritual powers of the evil in the heavenly world. That is why you need to put on God’s full armor. Then on the day of evil, you will be able to stand strong” (Ephesians 6:12-13)

“Having disarmed the powers and authorities, Jesus made a public spectacle of the forces of evil, triumphing over them by the cross” (Colossians 2:15)

“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7)

“But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day” (Jude vv. 5-6)

“In Christ, we are set free by the blood of his death, and so we have forgiveness of sins” (Ephesians 1:7)

“I tell you the truth, everyone who lives in sin is a slave to sin. A slave does not stay with a family forever, but a son belongs to the family forever. So if the Son makes you free, you will be truly free” (John 8:34-36)

“we have freedom now because Christ made us free. So stand strong. Do not change and go back into the slavery of the law” (Galatians 5:1)

“You are the light that gives light to the world. A city that is built on a hill cannot be hidden. And people don’t hide a light under a bowl. They put it on a lampstand so the light shines for all the people in the house. In the same way, you should be a light for other people. Live so that they will the good things you do and will your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:14-16)

“This work must continue until we are all joined together in the same faith and in the same knowledge of the Son of God. We must become like a mature person, growing until we become like Christ and have his perfection” (Ephesians)

“Anyone who speaks should speak words from God. Anyone who serves should serve with the strength God gives so that in everything God will be praised through Jesus Christ. Power and glory belongs to him forever and ever” (1 Peter 4:11)

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

“I urge you who have been chosen by God to live up to the life to which God called you. Always be humble, gentle, and patient, accepting each other in love. You are joined together with peace through the Spirit, so make every effort to continue together in this way” (Ephesians 4:1-3)

“Love each other deeply, because love will cause people to forgive each other for many sins. Open your homes to each other, without complaining. Each of you has received a gift to use to serve others. Be good servants of God’s various gifts of grace. (1 Peter 4:8-10)

“Be sure that no pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to do what is good for each other and for all people” (1 Thessalonians 5:15)

WEEKLY MEDITATION 27 AUGUST – 2 SEPTEMBER 2018

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

“The wisdom that comes from God is first of all pure, then peaceful, gentle, and easy to please. This wisdom is always ready to help those who are troubled and to do good for others. It is always fair and honest. (James 3:17)

“When you are angry, do not sin, and be sure to stop being angry before the end of the day. Do not give the devil a way to defeat you.” (Ephesians 4:26-27)

“My dear brothers and sisters, always be willing to listen and slow to speak. Do not become angry easily, because anger will not help you live the right kind of like God wants” (James 1:19-20)

“Trust the Lord with all your heart, and don’t depend on your own understanding. Remember the Lord in all you do, and he will give you success.” (Proverbs 3 5-6)

“You were taught to leave your old self- to stop living the evil way you lived before. That old self-becomes worse because people are fooled by the evil things they want to do. But you were taught to be made new in your hearts, to become a new person. That new person is made to be like God–made to be truly good and holy” (Ephesians 4:22-24)

“Now that you are obedient children of God do not live as you did in the past. You did not understand, so you did the evil things you wanted. But be holy in all you do, just as God, the One who called you, is holy” (1 Peter 1:14-15)
