Month: January 2019

WEEKLY MEDITATION 28 JANUARY – 3 FEBRUARY 2019

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

– Amen

“If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. ( Philippians 2:1-3)

“By helping each other with your troubles, you truly obey the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2)

“This is how we know what real love is: Jesus gave his life for us. So we should give our lives for our brothers and sisters. Suppose someone has enough to live and sees a brother or sister in need, but does not help. Then God’s love is not living in that person. My children, we should love people not only with works and talk but by our actions and true caring” (1 John 3:16-18)

WEEKLY MEDITATION 21-27 JANUARY 2019

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

– Amen

“My brothers and sisters, God called you to be free, but do not use your freedom as an excuse to do what pleases your sinful self. Serve each other with love. The whole law is made complete in this one command: Love your neighbor as you love yourself” (Galatians 5:13-14)

“Let us think about each other and help each other to show love and do good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24)

“In the same way, younger people should be willing to be under older people. And all of you should be very humble with each other. God is against the proud, but he gives grace to the humble” (1 Peter 5:5)

WEEKLY MEDITATION 14-20 JANUARY 2019

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

– Amen

“Do not lose the courage you had in the past, which has a great reward. You must hold on, so you can do what God wants and receive what he has promised” (Hebrews 10:35-36)

“We must not become tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest of eternal life at the right time if we do not give up (Galatians 6-9)

“God began doing a good work in you, and I am sure he will continue it until it is finished when Jesus Christ comes again” (Philippians 1:6)

WEEKLY MEDITATION 7-13 JANUARY 2019

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

“My whole being, praise the Lord and do not forget all his kindnesses. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He saves my life from the grave and loads me with love and mercy” (Psalm 103:2-4)

“The Lord your God is with you; the mighty One will save you. He will rejoice over you. You will rest in his love; he will sing and be joyful about you” (Zephaniah 3:17)

“The important thing is obeying God’s commands….You all were bought at a great price, so do not become slaves of people” (1 Corinthians 7:19,23)
