WEEKLY MEDITATION 28 Nov-4 DECEMBER 2016

As you begin this week we ask that you meditate on the following scriptures and how they apply to your life and your growing relationship with the Lord.

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your guidance and will into our lives for your glory.

Worship is the “thank you” that refuses to be silenced…..

“Praise the Lord for the glory of his name; worship the Lord because he is holy” (Psalm 29:2)

“Come, let’s worship him and bow down. Let’s kneel before the Lord who made us, because he is our God and we are the people he takes care of, the sheep the he tends” (Psalm 95:6-7)

“Praise the Lord! Praise God in his Temple; praise him in his mighty heaven. Praise him for his strength; praise him for his greatness…Let everything that breathes praise the Lord. Praise the Lord” (Psalm 150:1-2,6)

“Sing praises to the Lord, you who belong to him; praise his holy name” (Psalm 30:4)

WEEKLY MEDITATION 21-27 NOVEMBER 2016

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In Christ, God has given us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly world. That is, in Christ, he chose us before the world was made so that we would be his holy people-people without blame before him” (Ephesians 1:3-4)

“The same Lord is the Lord of all and gives many blessings to all who trust him, as the Scripture says, “Anyone who calls on the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:12-13)

“Every good action and every perfect gift is from God. These good gifts come down from the Creator of the sun, moon and stars, who does not change like their shifting shadows” (James 1:17)

“Ask and God will give to you. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will open for you. Yes, everyone who asks will receive. Everyone who searches will find. And everyone who knocks will have the door opened” (Matthew 7:7-8)

“Without faith no one can please God. Anyone who comes to God must believe that he is read and that he rewards those who truly want to find him” (Hebrews 11:6)

“This is the boldness we have in God’s presence: that if we ask God for anything that agrees with what he wants, he hears us. If we know he hears us every time we ask him, we know we have what we ask from him” (1 John 5:14-15)

Worship is the “thank you” that refuses to be silenced…..

“Respect the Lord your God, You must worship him and make your promises only in his name. Do you worship other gods as the people around you do, because the Lord your God is a jealous God” (Deuteronomy 6:13-15)

“Say to God “Your works are amazing! Because your power is great, your enemies fall before you. All the earth worships you and sings praises to you. They sing praises to your name” (Psalm 66:3-4)

“The time is coming when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, and that time is here already. You see, the Father too is actively seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in the spirit and truth” (John 4:23-24)
