Month: October 2014

WEEKLY MEDITATION 27 OCT – 2 NOV 2014

As you begin this week, we ask that you meditate on the following scriptures and how they apply to your life and your growing relationship with the Lord.

“People should think of us as servants of Christ, the ones God has trusted with his secrets. Now in this way those who are trusted with something valuable must show they are worthy of that trust. As for myself, I do not care if I am judged by you or by any human court. I do not even judge myself….The Lord is the One who judges me.” (1 Corinthians 4:1-4)

“Do not let anyone treat you as if you are unimportant because you are young. Instead, be an example to the believers with your words, your actions, your love, your faith, and your pure life.” (1 Timothy 4:12)

“You have begun to live the new life, in which you are being made new and are becoming like the One who made you. This new life brings you the knowledge of God. In the new life there is no difference between Greeks and Jews….or those who are foreigners, or Scythians. There is no difference between slaves and free people. But Christ is in all believers, and Christ is all that is important” (Colossians 3:10-11)

WEEKLY MEDITATION 13 – 19 OCTOBER 2014

As you begin this week, we ask that you meditate on the following scriptures and how they apply to your life and your growing relationship with the Lord.

“He gives strength to those who are tired and more power to those who are weak. The people who trust the Lord will become strong again. They will rise up as an eagle in the sky, they will run and not need rest; they will walk and not become tired” (Isaiah 40:29, 31)

“Come to me, all of you who are tired and heave heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Accept my teachings and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit, and you will find rest for your lives. The teaching that I ask you to accept is easy, the load I give you to carry is light” (Matthew 11:28-30)

“God is our protection and our strength. He always helps in times trouble. The LORD All-Powerful is with us, the God of Jacob is our defender” (Psalm 46:1, 11)
