Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:4-5)

“The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:56-58)

“We may throw the dice, but the Lord determines how they fall” (Proverbs 16:33)

“Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests but also for the interests of others” (Philippians 2:3-4)

“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up” (James 4:10)

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry” (Psalm 34:15)

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us” (1 John 5:14)

The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt before your eyes” (Deuteronomy 1:30)

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14)

” Some trust in chariots, others in horses, be we trust the Lord our God. They are overwhelmed and defeated, but we march forward and win.” (Psalm 20:7-8)

“But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law to redeem those under the law, then we might receive adoption to sonship” (Galatians 4:4-5)
