Month: June 2017

WEEKLY MEDITATION 26 JUNE – 2 JULY 2017

My brothers and sisters, God called you to be free, but do not use your freedom as an excuse to do what pleases your sinful self. Serve each other with love. The whole law is made complete in this one command: “Love your neighbor as you love yourself” (Galatians 5:13-14)

“Let us think about each other and help each other show love and do good deeds” ( Hebrews 10:24)

“In the same way, younger people should be willing to be under the older people. And all of you should be very humble with each other. “God is against the proud, but he gives grace to the humble” (1 Peter 5:5)

WEEKLY MEDITATION 19-25 JUNE 2017

As you begin this week we ask that you meditate on the following scriptures and how they apply to your life and your growing relationship with the Lord.

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

– Amen

“My God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19)

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want” (Psalm 21:1)

“God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8)

WEEKLY MEDITATION 12-18 JUNE 2017

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

“We worship God through his Spirit, and our pride is in Christ Jesus. We do not put trust in ourselves or anything we can do” (Philippians 3:3)

“But the person who trsusts in the Lord will be blessed. The Lord will show him that he can be trusted. He will be strong, like a tree planted near water that sends its routs by a stratem. It is not afraid when the days are hot; its leaves are awlays green. It does not worry in a year when no rain comes; it always produces fruit. (Jeremiah 17:7-8)

“When I am afraid I will trust you. I praise God for his word. I trust God, so I am not afraid. What can human beings do to me.” (Psalm 16:3-4)

WEEKLY MEDITATION 5-11 JUNE 2017

As you begin this week we ask that you meditate on the following scriptures and how they apply to your life and your growing relationship with the Lord.

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

– Amen

“If people’s thinking is controlled by the sinful self, there is death. But if their thinking is controlled by the Spirit, there is life and peace. When people’s thinking is controlled by the sinful self, they are against God, because they refuse to obey God’s law and really are not even able to obey God’s law. Those people who are ruled by their sinful selves cannot please God. (Romans 8:6-8)

“We all show the Lord’s glory, and we are being changed to be like him. This change in us brings ever greater glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit” (1 Corinthians 3:18)

“Surely you know that the people who do wrong will not inherit God’s kingdom. In the past, some of you were like that, but you were washed clean. You were made holy, and you were made right with God in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God” (1 Corinthians 6:9,11)
