WEEKLY MEDITATION 18-24 DECEMBER 2017

As you begin this week we ask that you meditate on the following scriptures and how they apply to your life and your growing relationship with the Lord.

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

“So God raised Jesus to the highest place. God made his name greater than every other name so that every knee will bow to the name Jesus – everyone in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. And everyone will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and bring glory to God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11)

“The One on the throne said to me, “It is finished. I am the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give free water from the spring of the water of life to anyone who is thirsty. Those who win the victory will receive this, and I will be their God, and they will be my children” (Revelation 21:6-7)

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In God’s great mercy he has caused us to be born again into a living hope because Jesus Christ rose from the Dead” (1 Peter 1:3)

Worship is the “thank you” that refuses to be silenced…..

“Look, Jesus is coming with the clouds, and everyone will see him… An all peoples of the earth will cry loudly because of him. Yes, this will happen! (Revelation 1:7)

“Always be ready, because you don’t know the day your Lord will come…Because the Son of Man will come at a time you don’t expect him.  (Matthew 25:42-44)

“Just as everyone must die once and be judged, so Christ was offered as a sacrifice one time to take away the sins of many people. And he will come a second time, not to offer himself for sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him (Hebrews 9:27-28)

“God has chosen you and made you his holy people. He love you. So always do these things: Show mercy to others, be kind, be humble, be gentle, and patient. Get along with each other, and forgive each other. If someone does wrong to you, forgive that person because the Lord forgave you” (Colossians 3:12-13)

“Be kind and loving to each other, and forgive each other just as God forgave you in Chris” (Ephesians 4:32)

“So I tell you to believe that you have received the things you ask for in prayer, and God will give them to you. When you are praying, if you are angry with someone, forgive him so that your Father in heaven will also forgive your sins” (Mark 11:24-25)

“If my people, who are called by my name, are sorry for what they have done, if they pray and obey me and stop their evil ways, I will hear them from heaven, I will forgive their sin, and I will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

“The Lord sees the good people and listens to their prayers. But the Lord is against those who do evil; he makes the world forget them” (Psalm 34:15-16)

“My brothers and sisters, God called you to be free, but do not use your freedom as an excuse to do what pleases your sinful self. Serve each other with love. The whole law is made complete in this one command. “Love your neighbor as you love yourself” (Galatians 5:13-14)

“Let us think about each other and help each other to show love and do good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24)

“In the same way, younger people should be willing to be under older people. And all of you should be very humble with each other. God is against the proud, but he gives grace to the humble” (1 Peter 5:5)

“I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about something and pray for it, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. This is true because if two or three people come together in my name, I am there with them” (Matthew 18:19-20)

“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so God can heal you. When a believing person prays, great things happen” (James 5:16)

“Do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who are cruel to you” (Luke 6:27-28)
