WEEKLY MEDITATION 10-16 JUNE 2019

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

“Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answers them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, “see there!” For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:20-21)

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hi; and for joy, over it, he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it” (Matthew 13:44-46)

That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man…So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him” (Matthew 24:38-39,44)

“You are the light that gives light to the world. A city that is built on a hill cannot be hidden. And people don’t hide a light under a bowl. They put it on a lampstand so the light shines for all the people in the house. In the same way, you should be a light for other people. Live so that they will the good things you do and will your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:14-16)

“This work must continue until we are all joined together in the same faith and in the same knowledge of the Son of God. We must become like a mature person, growing until we become like Christ and have his perfection” (Ephesians)

“Anyone who speaks should speak words from God. Anyone who serves should serve with the strength God gives so that in everything God will be praised through Jesus Christ. Power and glory belongs to him forever and ever” (1 Peter 4:11)

“I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about something and pray for it, it will be done for you by my father in heaven. This is true because if two or three people come together in my name, I am there with them” (Matthew 18:19-20)

“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so God can heal you. when a believing person prays, great things happen” (James 5:16)

“Do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who are cruel to you” (Luke 67:27-28)

“Without faith, no one can please God. Anyone who comes to God must believe that he is real and that he rewards those who truly want to find him” (Hebrew11:6)

“And this is the boldness we have in God’s presence; that if we ask God for anything that agrees with what he wants, he hears us. If we know he hears us every time, we ask him, we know we have what we ask from him. (1 John 5:14-15)

“People will insult you and hurt you. They will lie and say all kinds of evil things about you because you follow me. But when they do, you will be blessed. Rejoice and be glad, because you have a great reward waiting for you in heaven” (Matthew 5:11-12)
