WEEKLY MEDITATION 9-15 JULY 2018

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

“God’s word is alive and working and is sharper than a double-edged sword. It cust all the way into us, where the soul and the spirit are joined, to the center of our joints and bones. And it judges the thoughts and feelings in our hearts.” (Hebrews 4:12)

“The truly happy people are those who carefully study God’s perfect law that makes people free, and they continue to study it. They do not forget what they heard, but they obey what God’s teaching says. Those who do this will be made happy. ” (James 1:25)

“As newborn babies want mil, you should want the pure and simple teaching. By it, you can mature in your salvation because you have already examined and seen how good the Lord is” (1 Peter 2:2-3)

“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so God can heal you. When a believing person prays, great things happen” (James 5:16)

“He is strong and can help you not to fall. He can bring you before his glory without any wrong in you and can give you great joy” (Jude 14)

“But the Lord is faithful and will give you strength and will protect you from the Evil One” (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

“May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father encourage you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say. God loved us, and through his grace, he gave us a good hope and encouragement that continues forever” (2 Thessalonians 2:16,17)

“My brothers and sisters, God called you to be free, but do no use your freedom as an excuse to do what pleases your sinful self. Serve each other with love. The whole law is made complete in this one command: “Love your neighbor as you love yourself”. (Galatians 1:13-14)

“Let us think about each other and help each other to show love and do good deeds” (Hebrews 10: 24)

“IN the same way, younger people should be willing to be under older people. And all of you should be very humble with each other. God is against the proud, but he gives grace to the humble” (1 Peter 5:5)

“Praise the Lord for the glory of his name, worship the Lord because he is holy” (Psalm 29:2)

“Come, let’s worship him and bow down. Let’s kneel before the Lord who made us because he is our God and we are the people he takes care of and the sheep that he tends” (Psalm 95:6-7)

“Praise the Lord! Praise God in his Temple; praise him in his mighty heaven. Praise him for this strength; praise him for his greatness. Let everything that breathes praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! (Psalm 150:1-2,6)

“In all the work you are doing, work the best you can. Work as if you were doing for the Lord, not for people. Remeber that you will receive your reward from the Lord, which he promised to his people. You are serving the Lord Christ. (Colossians 3:23-24)

“Then Jesus called the crowd to him, along with his followers. The said, “if people want to follow me, they must give up the things they want. They must be willing even to give up their lives to follow me. Those who want to save their lives will give up true life. Bu those who give up their lives for me and for the Good News will have true life” (Mark 8:34-35)

“The servant does not get any special thanks for doing what his master commanded. IT is the same with you. When you have done everything you are told to do, you should say, “We are unworthy servants; we have only done the work we should do”. ( Luke 17-9-10)
