Month: January 2021

WEEKLY MEDITATION 25-31 JANUARY 2021

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory. Please give us peace and comfort in these difficult times and help us cling to you through your word and the presence of the holy spirit. We know you are still in control and will use these difficult times for your good. Forgive us if we interpret your silence as a lack of your love. We know you will answer if we only stay faithful. In Jesus’ name…

– Amen

“God is strong and can help you not to fall. He can bring you before his glory without any wrong in you and can give you great joy” (Jude v.24)

“The Lord is faithful and will give you strength and will protect you from the Evil on” (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

“May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father encourage you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say. God loves us, and through his grace he gave us a good hope and encouragement that continues forever” (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17)

WEEKLY MEDITATION 18-24 JANUARY 2021

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory. Please give us peace and comfort in these difficult times and help us cling to you through your word and the presence of the holy spirit. We know you are still in control and will use these difficult times for your good. Forgive us if we interpret your silence as a lack of your love. We know you will answer if we only stay faithful. People should think of us as servants of Christ, the ones God has trusted with his secrets. Now in this way those who are trusted with something valuable must show they are worthy of that trust. As for myself, I do not care if I am judged by you or by any human court. I do not even judge myself…The Lord is the One who judges me” (1 Corinthians 4:1-4)

“Do not let anyone treat you as if you are unimportant because you are young. Instead, be an example to the believers with your words, your actions, your love, your faith and your pure life” (1 Timothy 4:12)

“You have begun to live a new life, in which you are being made new and are becoming like the One who made you. This new life brings you the true knowledge of God. In the new life there is no difference between Greeks and Jews…There is no difference between slaves and free people. But Christ is in all believers and Christ is all that is important” (Colossians 3:10-11)

“No king is saved by his great army. No warrior escapes by his great strength…But the Lord looks after those who fear him, those who put their hope in his love. He saves them from death and spares their lives in times of hunger. So our hope is in the Lord. He is our help, our shield to protect us” (Psalm 33:16,18-20)

“If God is with us, no one can defeat us. He did not spare his own Son but gave him for us all. So with Jesus, God will surely give us all things. Who can accuse the people God has chosen? No one, because God is the One who makes them right” (Romans 8:31-33)

“The Lord’s love never ends; his mercies never stop. They are new every morning; Lord, your loyalty is great. I say to myself, “The Lord is mine, so I hope in him”. The Lord is good to those who hope in him, to those who seek him” (Lamentations 3:22-25)
