God’s Grace

WEEKLY MEDITATION 21 – 27 JULY 2025

Lord, we thank you for coming into our world as the light and the way. We ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word into our daily lives. We know we can do all things through you. Jesus, we thank you for your peace and comfort. Your wisdom, guidance, grace, and forgiveness. Your provision, blessings, and healing. You are our rock and salvation. Please help us to see your blessings in our lives and give us a spirit of gratitude to you and for youin Jesus’ name, we pray.

“If people’s thinking is controlled by the sinful self, there is death. But if their thinking is controlled by the Spirit, there is life and peace. When people’s thinking is controlled by the sinful self, they are against God, because they refuse to obey God’s law and really are not even able to obey God’s law. Those people who are ruled by their sinful selves cannot please God” (Romans 8:6-8)

We all show the Lord’s glory, and we are being changed to be like him. This change in us brings ever greater glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:18)

“Surely you know that people who do wrong will not inherit God’s kingdom…In the past, some of you were like that, but you were washed clean. You were made holy, and you were made right with God in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God” (1 Corinthians 6:9,11)

But if any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He is generous and enjoys giving to all people, so he will give you wisdom” (James 1:5)

“In Christ, we can come before God with freedom and without fear. We can do this through faith in Christ” (Ephesians 3:12)

“I tell you to pray for all people, asking God for what they need and being thankful to him…I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up their hands in a holy manner” (1 Timothy 1:1,8)

“If you ask for anything in my name, I will do it for you so that the Father’s glory will be shown through the Son. If you ask me for anything in my name, I will do it” (John 14:13-14)

Respecting the Lord and not being proud will bring you wealth, honor, and life” (Proverbs 22:4)

“In every way be an example of doing good deeds. When you teach, do it with honesty and seriousness. Speak the truth so that you cannot be criticized… Grace teaches us to live in the present age in a wise and right way and in a way that shows we serve God. We should live like that while we wait for our great hope and the coming of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Chris” (Titus 2:7-8, 12-13)

God is fair; he will not forget the work you did and the love you showed for him by helping his people. And he will remember that you are still helping them. We want each of you to go on with the same hard work all your lives so you will surely get what you hope for” (Hebrews 6:10-11)

“Since we have been made right with God by our faith, we have peace with God. This happened through our Lord Jesus Christ, who through our faith has brought us into that blessing of God’s grace that we now enjoy. And we are happy because of the hope we have of sharing God’s glory” (Romans 5:1-2)

“The wicked should stop doing wrong, and they should stop their evil thoughts. They should return to the Lord so he may have mercy on them. They should come to our God, because he will freely forgive them” (Isaiah 55:7)

“This is what God told us: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life, but whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 John 5:11-12)

“I urge you who have been chosen by God to live up to the life to which God called you. Always be humble, gentle, and patient, accepting each other in love. You are joined together with peace through the Spirit, so make every effort to continue together in this way” (Ephesians 4:1-3)

“Love each other deeply, because love will cause people to forgive each other for many sins. Open your homes to each other, without complaining. Each of you has received a gift to use to serve others. Be good servants of God’s various gifts of grace” (1 Peter 4:8-10)

“Be sure that no one pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to do what is good for each other and for all people (1 Thessalonians 5:15)

WEEKLY MEDITATION 27 JULY – 2 AUGUST 2020

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory. Please give us peace and comfort in these difficult times. We know you are still in control and will use these difficult times for your good. We ask that you heal and help those in need and who are ill. Forgive us if we interpret your silence as a lack of your love. We know you will answer if we only stay faithful. In Jesus’ name…

The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt before your eyes” (Deuteronomy 1:30)

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14)

” Some trust in chariots, others in horses, be we trust the Lord our God. They are overwhelmed and defeated, but we march forward and win.” (Psalm 20:7-8)

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8)

“For the light in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man…So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him” (Matthew 24:38-39,44)

“He is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf” (Hebrews 7:25)
