WEEKLY MEDITATION 29 JULY -4 AUGUST 2024

Jesus, we thank you for coming into our world as the light. We ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word into our daily lives. Jesus, we thank you for your peace and comfort. Your wisdom, guidance, grace, and forgiveness. Your provision and healing. You are our rock and salvation. We cling to you through your word and the presence of the holy spirit. Please help us to see your blessings in our lives and give us a spirit of gratitude to you and for you…in Jesus’ name, we pray.

“Know and believe today that the Lord is God. He is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other god! Obey his laws and commands that I am giving you today so that things will go well for you and your children. Then you will live a long time in the land that the Lord your God is giving to you forever” (Deuteronomy 4:39-40)

“Correct your children, and you will be proud; they will give you satisfaction” (Proverbs 29:17)

“In Christ, we are set free by the blood of his death, and so we have forgiveness of sins” (Ephesian 1:7)

“I tell you the truth, everyone who lives in sin is a slave to sin. A slave does not stay with a family forever, but a son belongs to the family forever. So if the Son makes you free, you will be truly free” (John 8:34-36)

“We have freedom now because Christ made us free. So stand strong. Do not change and go back into the slavery of the law” (Galatians 5:1)

“Respect the Lord your God. You must worship him and make your promises only in his name. Do not worship other gods as the people around you do because the Lord your God is a jealous God” (Deuteronomy 6:13-15)

“Say to God, “Your works are amazing! Because your power is great, your enemies fall before you. All the earth worships you and sings praises to you. They sing praises to your name” (Psalm 66:3-4)

“The time is coming when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, and that time is here already. You see, the Father too is actively seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:23-24)

“If any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He is generous to everyone and will give you wisdom without criticizing you.” (James 1:5)

“May God himself, the God of peace, make you pure, belonging only to him. May your whole self-spirit, soul, and body-be kept safe and without fault when our Lord Jesus Christ comes.” (*1 Thessalonians 5:23)

“The ways of God are without fault. The Lord’s words are pure. He is a shield to those who trust him. Who is God? Only the Lord. Who is the Rock? Only our God”( Psalm 18: 30-31)
