As you begin this week we ask that you meditate on the following scriptures and how they apply to your life and your growing relationship with the Lord.

“Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In God’s great mercy he has caused us to be born again into a living hope, because Jesus Christ rose from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3)

“Now I am right with God, not because I followed the law, but because I believed in Christ. God uses my faith to make me right with him. I want to know Christ and the power that raised him from the dead…Then I have hope that I myself will  be raised from the dead” (Philippians 3:9-11)

“These two things can not change: God cannot lie when he makes a promise, and he cannot lie when he makes an oath. These things encourage us who came to God for safety. They give us strength to hold on to the hope we have been given. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, sure and strong” (Hebrews 6:18-19)

“God love the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world guilty, but to save the world through him” (John 3:16-17)

“The same Lord is the Lord of all and gives many blessings to all who trust him, as the Scripture says, “Anyone who calls on the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:12-13)

“Every good action and every perfect gift is from God. These good gifts come down from the Creator of the sun, moon and stars, who does not change like their shifting shadows” (James 1:17)

“You should know that loving the world is the same as hating God. Anyone who wants to be a friend of the world becomes God’s enemy” (James 4:4)

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If you love the world, the love of the Father is not in you. These are the ways of the world: wanting to please our sinful selves, wanting the sinful things we see, and being too proud of what we have. None of these come from the Father, but all of them come from the world. The world and everything that people want in it are passing away, but the person who does what God wants lives forever.” (1 John 2:15-17)
