WEEKLY MEDITATION 30 DECEMBER 2024 -5 JANUARY 2024

We thank you Jesus for coming into our world as the light and the way. We ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word into our daily lives. Jesus, we thank you for your peace and comfort. Your wisdom, guidance, grace, and forgiveness. Your provision, blessings, and healing. You are our rock and salvation. Please help us to see your blessings in our lives and give us a spirit of gratitude to you and for you…in Jesus’ name, we pray.

“The Lord says, “My thoughts are not like your thoughts. Your ways are not like my way. Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts” “ (Isaiah 55: 8-9)

“Don’t worry and say, “What will we eat?” or “What will we drink?” or “What will we wear? The people who don’t know God keep trying to get these things, and your Father in heaven knows you need them. Seek first God’s kingdom and what God wants. Then all your other needs will be met as well.” (Matthew 6: 31-33)

“If we are not faithful, he will still be faithful, because he must be true who he is…God’s strong foundation continues to stand. These words are written on the seal: “The Lord knows those who belong to him,” and “Everyone who wants to belong to the Lord must stop doing wrong” (2 Timothy 2:13, 19)

Especially this time of year, we thank Jesus for coming into our world as the light and the way. But you, Bethlehem Ephratah, you are little to be among the clans of Judah; [yet] out of you shall One come forth for Me Who is to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth have been from of old, from ancient days (eternity). [Gen. 49:10; Matt. 2:5-12; John 7:42.]  (Micah 5:2)

Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: Behold, the young woman who is unmarried and a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel [God with us]. [Isa. 9:6; Jer. 31:22; Mic. 5:3-5; Matt. 1:22, 23.] (Isaiah 7:14)

“I pray that the God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace while you trust in him. Then your hope will overflow by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13)

“How great is your goodness that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you have given to those who trust you. You do this for all to see. YOu protect them by your presence from what people plan against them. You shelter them from evil words.” Psalm 31:19-20)

Jesus, we thank you for coming into our world as the light. To be Emmanuel…God with us. Glory to the highest. Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may understand and incorporate your word into our daily lives. Father, we thank you for your peace and comfort. Your wisdom and forgiveness. Your provision and healing. You are our rock and salvation. We cling to you through your word and the presence of the holy spirit. Father, please help us to see your blessings in our lives and give us a spirit of gratitude to you and for you…in Jesus’ name, we pray.

Disappointment, and discouragement. It seems to be all around us these days. But remember Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. But this requires faith in the Lord. Faith in the Lord is the conviction that God knows way more than we do in this life, and we can rely on him fully, and completely. In fact, he wants and commands us to. He will not forsake us.

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may understand and incorporate your word and will into our lives. Father, we thank you for your peace and comfort in these challenging times. We cling to you through your word and the presence of the holy spirit. Father, please help us to see your blessings in our lives and give us a spirit of gratitude to you and for you. Lord, we know that you are still in control and will use these challenging times for your good…in Jesus’ name, we pray.

“Even when you are old, I will be the same. Even when your hair has turned gray, I will take care of you. I made you and will take care of you. I will carry you and save you” (Isaiah 46:4)

“I was young, and now I am old, but I have never seen good people left helpless or their children begging for food” (Psalm 37:25)

“God, you have taught me since I was young. To this day I tell about the miracles you do. Even though I am old and gray, do not leave me, God. I will tell the children about your power; I will tell those who live after me about your might” (Psalm 71:17-18)

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may understand and incorporate your word and will into our lives. Father, we thank you for your peace and comfort in these challenging times. We cling to you through your word and the presence of the holy spirit. Father, please help us to see your blessings in our lives and give us a spirit of gratitude to you and for you. Lord, we know that you are still in control and will use these challenging times for your good…in Jesus’ name, we pray.

“Since we have been made right with God by our faith, we have peace with God. This happened through our Lord Jesus Christ, who through our faith has brought us into that blessing of God’s grace that we now enjoy. And we are happy because of the hope we have of sharing God’s glory” (Romans 5:1-2)

“The wicked should stop doing wrong, and they should stop their evil thoughts. They should return to the Lord so he may have mercy on them. They should come to our God, because he will freely forgive them” (Isaiah 55:7)

“This is what God told us: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life, but whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 John 5:11-12)
