WEEKLY MEDITATION 25-31 MARCH 2024

Jesus, we thank you for coming into our world as the light and to be. As we approach Easter and your resurrection, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word into our daily lives. We remember and accept your sacrifice for our sins. Jesus, we thank you for your peace and comfort. Your wisdom, guidance, grace, and forgiveness. Your provision and healing. You are our rock and salvation. We cling to you through your word and the presence of the holy spirit. Please help us to see your blessings in our lives and give us a spirit of gratitude to you and for youin Jesus’ name, we pray.

May you have a blessed Easter. He has risen…

“God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world guilty, but to save the world through him” (John 3:16-17)

“No king is saved by his great army. No warrior escapes by his great strength…But the Lord looks after those who fear him, those who put their hope in his love. He saves them from death and spares their lives in times of hunger. So our hope is in the Lord. He is our help, our shield to protect us” (Psalm 33:16, 18-20)

“I love the Lord because he listens to my prayers for help. He paid attention to me, so I will call to him for help as long as I love” (Psalms 116: 1-2)

“I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future. Then you will call my name. You will come to me and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will search for me. And when you search for me with all your heart, you will find me!” (Jeremiah 29: 11-13)

Disappointment, and discouragement. It seems to be all around us these days. But remember Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. But this requires faith in the Lord. Faith in the Lord is the conviction that God knows way more than we do in this life, and we can rely on him fully, and completely. In fact, he wants and commands us to. He will not forsake us.
