WEEKLY MEDITATION 6-12 APRIL 2015

As you begin this Holy week we ask that you meditate on the following scriptures and how they apply to your life and your growing relationship with the Lord.

“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2)

“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5)

“The mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace” (Romans 8:6)

Pray for the Persecuted

“For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. They will be protected forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off” (Psalm 37:28)

During this Holy week we ask that you pray for the persecuted Christian. From the U.S. to Kenya. From China to Cuba. From Russia to Libya. The are many types of persecution. From the soft persecution of Christians in the United States to horrific persecution of Christians in the Middle East, North Korea and more.

As you celebrate the magnificent resurrection or our Lord this week, please pray for those who are still suffering for their love of the Lord.

God Bless

This Is What Is Written

“This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem” (Luke 24:46-47)

“Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life” (John 3:14-16)

“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live” (John 14:18-19)

“I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going to the Father” (John16:28)

“This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms” (Luke 24:44)

As you begin this week we ask that you meditate on the following scriptures and how they apply to your life and your growing relationship with the Lord.

“My brothers and sisters, God called you to be free, but do not use your freedom as an excuse to what pleases your sinful self. Serve each other with love. The whole law is made complete in this one command: “Love your neighbor as you love yourself” (Galatians 5:13-14)

“Let us think about each other and help each other to show love and do good deed” (Hebrews 10:24)

“In the same way, younger people should be willing to be under older people. And all of you should be very humble with each other. God is against the proud, but he gives grace to the humble” (1 Peter 5:5)

WEEKLY MEDITATION 16-22 MARCH 2015

As you begin this week we ask that you meditate on the following scriptures and how they apply to your life and your growing relationship with the Lord.

“Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame”. (Isaiah 50:7)

“My dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)

“Be self controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings” (1 Peter 5:8-9)

Pray for the 200 Christians Abducted by Islamic State

As many as 200 Assyrian Christians, mostly women and children, were kidnapped in Syria on Feb. 24 in an overnight raid by Islamic State. Reports indicate that IS may have executed some Christians and destroyed several churches during an attack on villages near the town of Tel Tmar, close to the Kurdish held city of Hassaka.

It is feared that the men will be executed and the women and children abused, sold or used as human shields. Voice Of Martyrs contacts in Syria ask that we pray for the encouragement and protection of Christians in Syria so that they can be a living testimony in the midst of war.

Prayer for the persecuted church

We would like to invite you to pray for the persecuted church. The most common request of persecuted Christians is “PRAY FOR US.”  We want EVERY CHURCH to “Remember them that are in bonds …”  (Heb. 13:3). We also want Christians worldwide to pray throughout the year for those who suffer because of their Christian witness.

You can do so here:

I Commit To Pray is a place to gather and pray for the persecuted church. Read prayer requests from around the world and post your own prayers specifically for your brothers and sisters who are being persecuted. We urge you to join and pray for your fellow Christians.
