God’s Word

WEEKLY MEDITATION 5-11 FEBRURARY 2018

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

– Amen

“The wisdom that comes from God is first of all pure, then peaceful, gentle, and easy to please. This wisdom is always ready to help those who are troubled and to do good for others. It is always fair and honest.” (James 3:17)

“When you are angry, do not sin, and be sure to stop being angry before the end of the day. Do not give the devil a way to defeat you” (Ephesians 4:26-27)

“My dear brothers and sisters, always be willing to listen and slow to speak. Do not become angry easily, because anger will not help you live the right kind of life God wants for you” (James 1:19-20)

WEEKLY MEDITATION 15-21 JANUARY 2018

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory.

– Amen

“God, you are my God. I search for you. I thirst for you like someone in a dry, empty land where there is no water….Because your love is better than life, I will praise you.” (Psalm 63:1-3)

“Lord, you are kind and forgiving and have a great love for those who call to you.” (Psalm 86:5)

“Where God’s love is, there is no fear, because God’s perfect love drives out fear. It is punishment that makes a person fear, so love is not made perfect in the person who fears. We love because God first loved us.” (1 John 4:18-19)

WEEKLY MEDITATION 13-19 NOVEMEBER 2017

“When the Lord All-Powerful makes a plan, no one can stop it” (Isaiah 14:27)

“My thoughts are not like your thoughts. Your ways are not like my ways. Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. So you will go out with joy and be led out in peace” (Isaiah 55:8,12)

“Don’t be afraid, because I am your God. I will make you strong and will help you; I will support you with my right hand that saves you… I am the Lord your God, who holds your right hand, and I tell you, Don’t be afraid. I will help you” (Isaiah 41:10)

“God’s word is alive and working and is sharper than a double-edged sword. It cuts all the way into us, where the soul and the spirit are joined, to the center of our joints and bones. And it judges the thoughts and feelings in our hearts” (Hebrews 4:12)

“The truly happy people are those who carefully study God’s perfect law that makes people free, and they continue to study it. They do not forget what they heard, but they obey what God’s teaching says. Those who do this will be made happy” (James 1:25)

“As newborn babies want milk, you should want the pure and simple teaching. By it, you can grow up and be saved because you have already examined and seen how good the Lord is” (1 Peter 2:2)
