Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory. Please give us peace and comfort in these difficult times. We know you are still in control and will use these difficult times for your good. We ask that you heal and help those in need and who are ill. Forgive us if we interpret your silence as a lack of your love. We know you will answer if we only stay faithful. In Jesus’ name…
– Amen
“So God raised (Jesus) to the highest place. God made his name greater than every other name so that every knee will bow to the name of Jesus – Everyone in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. And everyone will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and bring glory to God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11)
“We do not live or die ourselves. If we live, we are living for the Lord, and if we die, we are dying for the Lord. So living or dying, we belong to the Lord” (Romans 14:7-8)
“The payment for sin is death. But God gives us a free gift of life forever in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23)
