Jesus Christ

WEEKLY MEDITATION 22-28 JUNE 2020

Father, we ask that you help us understand your word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and open our hearts and minds so that we may incorporate your word and will into our lives for your glory. Please give us peace and comfort in these difficult times. We ask that you heal and help those in need and who are ill. Forgive us if we interpret your silence as a lack of your love. We know you will answer if we only stay faithful. In Jesus’ name…

– Amen

“So God raised Jesus to the highest place. God made His name greater than every other name so that every knee will bow to the name Jesus–everyone in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. And everyone will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and bring glory to God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11)

“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, – whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free – and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For, in fact, the body is not one member but many” (1 Corinthians 12:12-14)

“All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him, all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. (Colossians 1:16-18)

“Speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head – Christ – from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love” (Ephesians 4:15-16)
